Welcome to Catalpa Creek Ranch. We are located
at Road 30 and Bronco Road, Niotaze, KS, 67355.
WE HAVE DISCONTINUED OUR HORSE BREEDING AND TRAINING OPERATION.
TIME TO RETIRE AND JUST RIDE A GOOD HORSE.
Boots and Maggie Milliken lead trail rides from our ranch and
cross the historic Mullendore Ranch in Oklahoma. You will see 2200 head of wild horses on the ranch along with beautiful vista
views of rolling ranch land that goes for miles. You will also see the headquarters where E.C. Mullendore was murdered in
1970. That murder was never solved and still has a following of family and friends who still wonder what happened there that
fateful night.
You will ride by Meridian Rock placed there in 1871 by the
Mullendore hands. Meridian Rock marks a latitude/ longitude on the Oklahoma/Kansas border at one of the entries to the Mullendore
Ranch. There is an endless amount of history here and I recommend you read the Mullendore Murder Case book before you make
the ride. It will help you understand a lot of what you see and hear on the ride.
This area is also known to be where the Daltons made camp on
a regular basis before they were killed in Coffeyville, KS, attempting to rob 2 banks at the same time.
